Chloe Kelly celebrates scoring England’s winning goal

Lanzi∙ England made a royal entry into the final after trailing 1-0 against Italy in the Women’s Euro Cup semi-final until the last minute, when they scored in the final minutes of injury time and extra time. Michelle Agyeman and Chloe Kelly scored in injury time (90+6) and 119th minute against Italy, who had taken the lead through Barbara Bonassa in the 33rd minute, for England. England will face the winners of the Germany-Spain match in the final on Sunday night.

Italy, who played with dominance in the first half of the match, went into defense after taking the lead through Bonassa. Rather than scoring a second goal, their focus was on preventing England from scoring an equalizer. The Italian fans had started celebrating as the match passed the 90th minute. However, Michelle’s close ranger brought England level with minutes left before the final whistle. With that, the match went into extra time. With both teams going goalless in extra time, it looked like things would go to a penalty shootout, but Kelly converted a penalty in the 119th minute to secure England’s victory and a place in the final.
