
Real Madrid took control of La Liga with a 2-1 win over arch-rivals FC Barcelona in a thrilling El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu. Goals from Mbappe and Jude Bellingham sealed the win.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 22nd minute through Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe finished with ease from a great assist by Jude Bellingham. Barcelona responded well in the 38th minute when Firmin Lopez scored a goal from a pass from Marcus Rashford. However, Bellingham scored from a precise pass from Eder Militao and regained the lead. Madrid had a chance to increase the lead with a penalty early in the second half, but Barcelona goalkeeper Szczesny blocked Mbappe’s kick. Despite this setback, Madrid continued to dominate, and with the victory, Real Madrid increased their lead in La Liga to five points. They have 27 points from 10 matches. Barcelona remain in second place with 22 points.
