Florida∙ Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal shocked Manchester City in the FIFA Club World Cup pre-quarterfinals. Al Hilal defeated City 3-4 in a thrilling match. Al Hilal’s victory came in extra time. Both teams scored two goals each in the regular time and tied. Marcos Leonardo scored twice for Al Hilal. Leonardo’s goals were in the 46th and 112th minutes. Malcom scored in the 52nd minute and Kalidou Koulibaly in the 94th minute. Bernardo Silva (9), Erling Haaland (55) and Phil Foden (104) were the goal scorers for Manchester City. Italian giants Inter Milan also failed to make it to the quarterfinals. In the pre-quarterfinals, Brazilian club Fluminense defeated Inter Milan by two goals. Fluminense took the lead in the third minute of the match through German Kanu and scored a second goal in the 93rd minute. Although the Italian club was ahead in passes and possession, Fluminense did not allow Milan to score. The Brazilian club also took the lead in the first minutes, which was a strength.
