MADRID ∙ Carlo Ancelotti has finally arrived as the coach of the Brazilian national football team. The 65-year-old Ancelotti, who is leaving Spanish club Real Madrid, will take charge of the team next week, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced.

After meeting with officials, Ancelotti will announce the Brazil team for the World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay, the CBF said. Brazil has reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with the Italian coach ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
