Arsenal came back to beat United at Newcastle, who have caused them great trouble in the English Premier League recently. Arteta’s team won 2-1. Arsenal played attacking football with Saka, Eze, Trossard and Gyokerus coming forward. Eze’s two best shots were blocked by Nick Pope in an impossible way. Arsenal were awarded a penalty in the 15th minute for Pope bringing down Gyokerus. However, the referee withdrew it after a review. The penalty in favor of Arsenal was denied because the ball had hit Pope’s foot. Although the Arsenal players protested, it had no effect. In the 34th minute, young player Mascara, who came on as a substitute for Saliba, scored a goal for Newcastle from an unnecessary corner. Newcastle striker Nick Voltamade headed home a brilliant goal from Tonali’s fierce cross. Gabriel argued that the player had committed a foul, but the referee did not allow it. Arsenal continued to attack continuously to equalize. Arteta also brought on Saliba in the second half. Timber’s header from Subimenti’s cross was also incredibly saved by Pope. Arteta’s move to bring on Merino and the injured Odegaard in the final minutes paid off.

Arsenal got the equalizer they deserved from a corner in the 84th minute. Former Newcastle player Michael Merino equalized for Arsenal with a clever header from Declan Rice’s excellent cross. Arsenal then tried to win. Sometimes Gabriel appealed for a penalty for Newcastle for handball, but the referee did not allow it. Sometimes Livermanto was injured and left the field in the stands. Finally, in the 96th minute, Gabriel scored a header past the Newcastle players from Odegaard’s sharp corner to give Arsenal the victory. Arsenal are now in second place with 13 points after 6 matches, 2 points behind Liverpool.
