Brentford sign Dango Ouattara for club record fee

Dango Ouattara

Brentford have made a major move for Dango Ouattara from Bournemouth ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season, signing him for a club record fee of £37m (including £5m in add-ons). The move comes after former Brentford star Bryan Mbuomo left for Manchester United.

The move will help Brentford fill a huge gap in their attacking line-up. Ouattara, 23, has undergone a medical. The player, who has been struggling under manager Andoni Iravola, has made it clear he wants to leave Bournemouth. He has scored 11 goals and provided nine assists in 88 appearances in two-and-a-half seasons for Bournemouth. Ouattara scored seven goals and provided four assists as Bournemouth finished ninth last season. The Burkina Faso international, who can play on both wings and in midfield, is notable for his consistency and experience – he has scored ten goals in 30 appearances for the country.
