Malappuram FC made a winning start to the second season of the Super League Kerala. Malappuram defeated Thrissur Magic FC in the match held at the Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri today. The victory was a 1-0 win. There was no significant progress in the boring first half. A penalty in the 71st minute of the second half was the reason for the tie breaking. Former ISL Golden Boot winner Roy Krishna converted the penalty. Malappuram defended well in the final minutes to secure the victory.
