The Indian women’s team registered a convincing win over Bhutan in the SAFF U-17 Women’s Championship 2025. India defeated hosts Bhutan by 8-0 in the match played in Thimphu on Sunday. Anushka Kumari scored a hat-trick for India (53′, 61′, 73′). Abhistha Basnet (23′, 89′) scored two goals while Pearl Fernandes (71′), Divyanee Linda (77′) and Valaina Fernandes (90+2′) also scored a goal each.
With this victory, India continues its good run of three wins from three matches. The Indian girls have not conceded a single goal, scoring 17 goals. They are at the top of the points table with nine points and are in a strong position to win the title.
